Healthy Habits for a Healthy Body

When it comes to keeping healthy, there are a number of things you can do on a regular basis.  These habits should become second nature, and will help you to live a healthy and happy life!

  • Drink lots of water – make a pact to drink at least 6-8 glasses of water each day.  The human body is made up mostly of water, so it is vital that you drink enough water each day.
  • Sleep more! Sleep is an important time for the body to repair and replenish the cells, so make sure you get enough sleep each night.  Around 8 hours is perfect.
  • Snack on fruit and veg – When you are needing a little snack, try chowing down on some fruit or veg instead of chocolate or sweets. This is much better for your skin, teeth and waistline
  • Move lots! We are advised by health officials to exercise more than we do (most of us anyway!). We should aim for 30 minutes of moderate exercise each day, so perhaps go for an after dinner walk, or get the bike out for a spin!
