WIPP Self Care Resources on the Move

The NHS Working in Partnership Programme (WiPP) is delighted to announce that its suite of self care resources will move to the Expert Patients Programme Community Interest Company (EPP CIC) on 12 June 2008. The resources will continue to be freely available at www.selfcareconnect.co.uk.

WiPP completes its programme of work at the end of this month and a key objective prior to completion was to ensure all its resources moved to organisations that are as passionate and dedicated as WiPP. Helena Jordan, national project manager for the WiPP Self Care for Primary Care project comments, "We went through a rigorous process to find a new home for our resources and I'm confident that we have found an excellent fit in EPP CIC. The company is committed to expanding the self care agenda beyond self-management for people with long-term health conditions and embraces the 'keeping people well ethos' that WiPP has kick started."

EPP CIC will assume responsibility for WiPP's self care resources. These include Self Care for You – a skills training course for the general public; Self Care for Primary Care – a set of workshop resources for practices and Primary Care Trusts; Self Care Connect – an online resource for professionals; a framework for Commissioning Self Care Support – for commissioners; and an independent evaluation of the aforementioned projects.
